‘Plans are working’

Bangalore: Shane Warne attributed his team’s success to “plans that are working well” in the post match press conference here on Saturday night. The Rajasthan Royals skipper said, “We have got some momentum, winning our last three games. Obviously we have had our plans based on the pitch and conditions. Tonight we had an extra fast bowler and it worked. We use our brains, not computers, and it is good that our plans worked.”

Man of the match, Shane Watson, praised his partner Graeme Smith in helming the chase. “Graeme set it up for us and when I went in, I knew I just had to score at a run a ball and probably get one good over to reduce the required rate. Shane leads from the front and the pitch here had good bounce,” Watson said.

Meanwhile Royal Challengers skipper Rahul Dravid said that his team’s total was hardly challenging.

“With just 135, we had our backs to the wall. Probably we tried too hard,” Dravid said. — Principal Correspondent
