Chirag United qualifies

KOLKATA: Chirag United of Kolkata became the first team to qualify to I-League first division when it beat Indian Bank by a solitary goal at Guwahati on Sunday.

With four teams slated to qualify to the next edition of the I-League, Chirag netted nine points from three wins and earned enough points for a place in the elite stage. Nigerian Louis Nigi Embami surprised the Indian Bank defence with a long-ranger, fetching the decider for Chirag United in the 47th minute.
