KOCHI: Residents and motorists will lay siege to the Thevara-Kundanoor bridge on Monday morning, to protest against the shabby construction of the kilometre-long bridge. The undulations on the bridge surface, said to be because of the uneven spread of bitumen and metal, has been causing accidents on a regular basis. No agency has repaired the bridge, despite the Government collecting hefty toll from vehicles. Many two-wheeler riders have died after being thrown off their vehicles as it went over the potholes. Even bus and car passengers have to endure a bumpy ride through the bridge. Moreover, there are no drains on the bridge.
