ITDA holds governing body meeting

‘No dearth of funds for medicines supply’

Rampachodavaram: ITDA Chairman and district Collector Gopalakrishna Dwivedi has asked the officials in the Agency area to hold review meetings every fortnight on health, water and electricity in their mandals and rope in local people’s representatives in solving tribal problems.

While addressing the ITDA governing body meeting here, he said that there were a number of schemes for the welfare of tribals and the duty of the officials and the people’s representatives was to enlighten them.

He said it was a welcome sign that tribal women members of the governing body were highlighting the problems of Primary Health Centres in their areas.

Sub-plan areas

He said there was a need to give priority to Sub-Plan areas of the Agency like Prattipadu, Rowtulapudi, Sankhavaram and Kotananduru mandals to take up development activities. He underlined the need to keep tribal welfare hostels and residential schools clean.

There was no dearth of funds for supply of medicines to tribals in the Agency.
