Atwal tied fourth

Richmond (USA): A flawless front nine, studded with four birdies, helped Arjun Atwal survive a late slide and sign off at the tied fourth position in the $500,000 Henrico County Open golf on the Nationwide Tour here.

The Orlando-based golfer, who won Asian tour’s Maybank Malaysian Open in March, chalked up a four-day total of 12-under 276.

Meanwhile, after firing matching 274s at the top of the pack, Australian Greg Chalmers (70) edged Norway’s Henrik Bjornstad (70) in a play-off for the top prize. — PTI
