Galaxy upsets Cycle Brand Kids

PERINTHALMANNA: Galaxy CC (Palakkad) scored an upset win, defeating Cycle Brand Kids CC (Thiruvananthapuram) by three wickets, in the Dr. M.S. Nair memorial all-Kerala cricket tournament here on Monday.

Batting first, Kids’s batsmen, barring Aravind (46), flattered to deceive and the Thiruvananthapuram side could only muster 123 in the allotted 30 overs. The Palakkad side reached the target in the 28th over losing seven wickets.

The scores:

Cycle Brand Kids CC 123 for six in 30 overs (Aravind 46) lost to Galaxy CC 124 for seven in 27.2 overs.

Globestar Telecom, Aluva 86 in 22.1 overs bt Presidence CC, Perinthalmanna 78 in 21.5 overs (Jojo M. David five for 14, Sumesh four for eight).
