Admission to 1st PU classes

BANGALORE: The Department of Pre-University Education has directed PU colleges in the State to issue application forms for five days after the announcement of Secondary School Leaving Certificate (SSLC) results, S.G. Hegde, Commissioner, Department of Pre-university Education, has said in a press release.

PU colleges have already started issuing application forms from Monday, following an earlier directive from the department. Details pertaining to admission to classes for 2008-09 had been despatched to all pre-university colleges, the release added. A helpline has been set up to bring transparency in admission. Complaints can be lodged with Sumati G. Nayak, Assistant Director (Ph. 23361856, 23381857, extension 116) or S. Jambanna, Personal Secretary and Yellappa, Personal Assistant to the Commissioner (Ph. 23361858 extension 102).
