23 cr. utilised for Arogyasri

ANANTAPUR: The district has topped the State in the implementation of Arogyasri during 2007-08, implemented in three districts on experimental basis, by utilising Rs. 23 crore and helping 4,336 patients to undergo surgeries for their chronic diseases and trauma related cases. Mahabubnagar and Srikakulam districts have utilised Rs. 16 cr. each.

In all, 79,983 patients were screened by conducting 422 medical camps.
