World Book Day celebrated

COIMBATORE: Vijaya Pathippagam released 20 books here on Sunday as part of the World Book Day celebrations organised by the publishing house.

Books on a variety of topics such as health, spirituality, self-development, and cookery were released by Managing Trustee, Siruthuli, Vanitha Mohan, retired college professor, Azhagar Ramanujam, and Managing Director, Annapoorna Hotels, D. Srivasan.

The copies were received by Selvam of Nalli Silks and Kaliappan of Kaliappan Stores.

Debates

Debates on topics related to books and reading were conducted. The publishing house had conducted a book exhibition from April 23 to 26 with special discounts on books.

It also organised meetings on the importance of reading.

“The World Book Day is celebrated every year by the publishing house,” said Osho Rajendran, Public Relations Officer of Vijaya Pathippagam.
