ON CLOUD NINE: Students of a private college firing crackers soon after the Intermediate results were declared in Visakhapatnam on Monday. VISAKHAPATNAM: Corporate colleges in the city continued their fine performance in the Intermediate final year examination, the results of which were out on Monday. Vikas Educational Institutions students Prudhvi Rajeswar scored 986 out of 1000 in MPC and A. Vijay secured 950/1000 in BiPC coming out with flying colours, according to its director M. Prasanna. Narayana Educational Institutions also performed well in Senior Intermediate with M.K. Venkata Sirisha (983), E. Divya ankita (982) and D.S.K. Sahitya (979) emerging with honours, zonal incharge of the college G. Ramalingeswara Rao said after announcement of the results. Vizag records 69 p.c.Visakhapatnam district recorded a pass percentage of 69 and stood fifth in the State, informed Regional Inspection Officer of Board of Intermediate Education T. Suribabu. A total of 32,745 students appeared for the examination and 22,696 have passed. In the vocational course 1,219 students out of 2,167 who took the test were successful.
