Construction worker murdered
A construction worker, Rajender, 40, was found murdered at open plot in Defence Colony under Neredmet police station area on Monday.
The victim lives alone at Kandiguda. His wife deserted him few years ago.
Rajender was last seen on Sunday evening consuming liquor with some unidentified persons. “We suspect that he was murdered after a drunken brawl. The killers smashed his head with a boulder,” Neredmet Inspector A. Balakoti said.
Three killed in road accident
Three persons travelling in a Maruti 800 car were killed when a lorry rammed into it near Celebrity Club of Shamirpet on ‘Rajeev Rahadari’ on Monday evening.
The victims were identified as Ahmed, 28, Salman Khan, 23, and Rehana, 40. All of them were residents of First Lancer in Masab Tank.
While the car was coming towards the city from Shamirpet, the lorry was going in the opposite direction when the accident occurred around 5.30 p.m.
The lorry driver fled the spot.
