Free screening for diabetes

Thiruvananthapuram: The district panchayat has introduced a programme for early detection of diabetes.

As many as 402 glucometers were distributed to health sub centres in the district on Monday as part of a diabetes detection programme taken up by the district panchayat.

District panchayat president Anavoor Nagappan inaugurated the programme at a function held at the Kesavapuram Community Health Centre on Monday.

The test will be free of cost.
