Banka: A man was sentenced to death and seven others to life imprisonment by a fast track court here on Tuesday for killing a villager in Dabhua village in the district of Bihar in 2002. Fast track court’s Additional District and Sessions Judge A S Choudhary found Saukat Ali, Habib Miya, Rahim Miya, Tasib Miya, Khurda Miya, Firdosh Miya, Gudu Miya and Latif Miya guilty of killing Fida Hussain. The court awarded capital punishment to Saukat and sentenced others to life imprisonment.
