Woman, child drown in temple pond

MALAPPURAM: A woman and her grand-daughter drowned in a temple pond at Alathiyur, near Tirur, in Malappuram district on Tuesday. Radha, 55, wife of Balan Nair K.P., and her son Jayanandan’s daughter Aswati, 10, were bathing in the pond of Kapalathingal Temple when the accident occurred.
