Lucknow: The Uttar Pradesh Government on Tuesday removed a retired IAS officer, probing the alleged irregularities in plot allotments in Noida/Greater Noida, construction of the Noida Expressway and ‘Appu Ghar’, on the charge of delaying the inquiry. Vijay Shankar Mathur was appointed the investigating officer by the State Government in January 2004. The decision to remove him was taken at a meeting chaired by Chief Minister Mayawati here. PTI
