KANNUR: Kannur girls marched into the final of the 25th Kerala State youth basketball championships at the Marygiri Senior Secondary School on Tuesday. In the semifinals, Kannur crushed Thrissur 53-15 after leading 31-11 at half-time. Neenumol did the bulk of the scoring for the winner with 20 points. The host will meet defending champion Kollam which defeated Kottayam 36-20 in the other semifinal. State player R.K. Smruthy did the star turn for the champion side, top scoring with 17 points. Thrissur entered the boys’ final with a 47-25 victory over Ernakulam and will meet the winner of the Pathanamthitta-Wayanad tie. The results: Boys (semifinal): Thrissur 47 (Amit Sebastian 20, Shebin Shamsudeen 14) bt Ernakulam 25 (N.F. Amith George 14). Quarterfinals: Wayanad 49 (A.R. Ajith 29) bt Kottayam 36 (Roby Thomas 14, Manu Das 12). Girls: Semifinals: Kannur 53 (P.S. Neenumol 20, M. Athira 10) bt Thrissur 15. Kollam 36 (R.K.
