When television shows get all too real

KOCHI: There is no end to reality shows on televisions and people are simply hooked on to it.

In every household, it is a rush back home to see their favourite reality show.

And certainly, what do the participants feel once the show is over? Not many would accept the fact that the show is over for them.

“Life has been different ever since”, said a few who had participated in reality shows. One participant has shunned studies and taken up a career in doing music shows, waiting for a breakthrough in films. “Reality shows are creating an unreal plane on the minds of the participants as well as the viewers”, said psychiatrist C.
