Two hurt in mishap

NEW DELHI: Two men sustained injuries when a Blueline bus hit them near Ambedkar Nagar in the controversial Bus Rapid Transit corridor on Tuesday. Plying of Blueline buses in this corridor is slated to end this Thursday.

The police said the incident took place around 8-30 in the morning. The driver of the bus, plying on route 544, hit the two men, Rahul Kashyap (18) and Laxman Prasad (48), while trying to save a man who suddenly appeared in front of the bus. Both the men suffered injuries and were taken to Batra Hospital from where Laxman was discharged after treatment and Rahul, who had sustained a fracture, was shifted to AIIMS.
