Man arrested

NEW DELHI: A man has been arrested on charges of stealing 16 tonnes of steel coils from a construction site at Indira Gandhi International Airport here. A hunt has been launched for his accomplices.

Accused Jogender Singh of Jhajjar in Haryana was arrested on April 24. According to the police, he had driven away a truck loaded with steel coils from inside the construction site on the basis of a forged gate pass.

The accused was working as material shifting supervisor at the steel yard of the building site. The police have also recovered Rs.50,000 from him.
