Boy dies of diarrhoea

Hosur: A boy, Asif (8) son of Atheesullah (45) of Bathalapalli, died of diarrhoea here on Tuesday.

As many as 20 people from Bathalapalli village who reported with symptoms of diarrhoea and dysentery were admitted to the Hosur Government Hospital.

The condition of the patients is said to be stable.

A team of doctors from Hosur rushed to the village to provide medical aid to people in remote areas following reports of diarrhoea outbreak.

More than 30 people were treated as outpatients at the Hosur Government Hospital. Consumption of contaminated water is said to be the reason behind the outbreak.
