“Policemen given menial works”

Staff Reporter

PUDUCHERRY: Chief Minister N. Rangasamy on Wednesday told the Assembly that the government would look into the complaints of alleged deployment of constables for “menial works” by senior police officers.

Replying to a query from A. Anbalagan (AIADMK), he said that if the allegation was true, the government would initiate steps to rectify the “mistake.” The Police Reform Commission itself had favoured posting of men for camp duty for senior officials, he pointed out.
