New IGP

PUDUCHERRY: The Union Home Ministry has upgraded the post of Deputy Inspector-General of Police to Inspector-General of Police.

The present DIG, S. Vasudeva Rao (IPS), has been promoted and posted as the new IGP of the Union Territory. He will be formally taking charge on Thursday, sources said.
