Minister presents cash awards to trainees

PUDUCHERRY: Minister for Labour E.Valsaraj gave away cash awards for persons who underwent training in the Puducherry Government I.T.I for Men and Women and Government I.T.I. Nettapakkam and passed the All India Trade Test on Wednesday.

Cash awards of Rs. 10,000, Rs. 7,500 and Rs. 5,000 were distributed to the first, second and third rank holders in various trades. For Government I.T.I for Men, cash awards of Rs. 87,500 were given to the three first rank holders, five second rank and four third rank holders, said a press release.

The cash prizes were given to encourage the trainees undergoing training in various trades of the Government I.T.Is.
