St.Anne’s B.Ed College for women is a unit of the sisters of St.Anne of Trichirappalli, registered under the societies registration Act XXI of 1860 ( S.No. 20 of 1969) with the name Jayaraj Annapackiam college for women college committee, Periyakulam. Is functioning in the same campus of J.A.College. The location of the college adjacent to J.A.College provides a visual feast of Kodai Hills, the renowned summer Resort. The materialization of the infant institution on 2nd January 2006, under the patronage of the Superior General is a dream come true to the rustic folk of this economically backward area and the local have-nots who can illafford the luxury of urban education. The college aims at providing linkage to the emerging graduates & post graduates in the rapid changing employment scenario, facilitating quality teacher education, thereby laying a strong foundation for future and enhancing the employability of socially, economically, educationally backward women. Special features The faculty is toned up periodically to cater to the fast track development in teaching technologies. The members are provided with ample opportunities to equip themselves with new strategies in teaching by attending State Level and National Level Seminars, workshops and conferences. These provide them opportunities to familiarise themselves with the novel trends in education. To mould students as potent teachers the faculty gives systematic, intensive and rigorous coaching. Weekly tests and monthly tests are conducted regularly for the systematic academic improvement of the students. Other Excellent infrastructure facilities. A well equipped computer centre with advance technology and internet connections. A full fledged language lab with the software ETNL is a boon to students to acquire communicative competence. Separate hostel facility is provided far B.Ed students. Students of previous batches are absorbed in Govt aided as well as Matriculation schools.
