Staff Reporter
NEW DELHI: The Delhi High Court on Wednesday issued a notice to the Centre on a petition by English daily The Statesman seeking scrapping of the Justice (retd.) K. Narayana Kurup Wage Board for Journalists and Non-Journalists of newspapers and news agencies alleging that their constitution had a pro-labour tilt.
Issuing notice, a Division Bench comprising Justice Manmohan Sarin and Justice Manmohan asked the Centre to file a reply by May 13, the next date of hearing. The petitioner submitted that the Union government had stacked the Board with persons known for their pro-labour views.
