Kamath is new CII President

K. V. Kamath

NEW DELHI: K. V. Kamath, Managing Director and CEO, ICICI Bank, has been elected President of the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) for 2008-09. He succeeds Sunil Bharti Mittal and will assume office on Thursday.

Venu Srinivasan, Managing Director, Sundaram-Clayton, has been elected Vice President of the industry body.
