New Vice Chief for Navy

NEW DELHI: Vice Admiral Raman Prem Suthan on Wednesday took over as Vice-Chief of the Naval Staff here. He replaces Vice Admiral Nirmal Verma, who has been appointed Flag officer Commanding-in-Chief of the Eastern Naval Command.

Vice Admiral Verma is slated to take over as the next Chief of the Naval Staff.

Vice Admiral Suthan had earlier served as Deputy Chief of the Naval Staff, Defence Adviser to the High Commission in Singapore, Controller, Personnel, at the Naval headquarters and Commanding, Navy’s Eastern and Southern Command.
