UP Govt. asks officials to ensure order

Lucknow: The Uttar Pradesh Government has ordered the district magistrates and police officials to ensure registration of FIRs and maintenance of law and order in the State.

“There should be no slackness in registering FIRs and maintenance of law and order,” the order said.

Taking serious note of complaints of non availability of officers to hear grievances of public, the order said that a surprise check would be made to check whether officers were present in their offices during the working hours.
