Police leave for Ahmedabad to bring back girls
CUTTACK: A team of State crime branch police on Thursday left for Ahemedabad to bring back two minor girls of Balasore district who were kidnapped from their native village to the Gujarat city allegedly for flesh trade. The five-member team led by additional SP Namita Ray with two inspectors left for Ahmedabad after their counterparts in Gujarat rescued the girls.
According to sources, the girls identified as Mani Singh and Lekha Singh of Patinga village under Jaleswar police station of Balasore district were kidnapped from their village last month. It was learnt that the girls somehow managed to escape and met the Ahmedabad ACP Usha Rada, sources informed.
