KOCHI: Twenty-eight school children participated in a five-day camp on film appreciation and film-making led by C. Saratchandran, a documentary-maker in the city. The camp was organised by the Parent-Teacher Association of Kochi Refineries School and KR Club. Navya Ann Charles says she fully enjoyed the camp. It was the first time somebody told her about the use of light, editing. The young film enthusiasts were treated to some good cinema. The group was divided into three groups and asked to make short movies. They wrote the script, wielded the cameras and edited the shots to create ‘The Silent Rose,’ ‘The Fright’ and ‘Time Pass’ all of which were appreciated by the viewers. — Staff Reporter
