Rajkumar through different eyes

Staff Reporter

Bangalore: The legendary hero Rajkumar was the inspiration and muse for this rare exhibition of art organised on Thursday by the Karnataka Chitrakala Parishat in coordination with the Department of Kannada and Culture and Samyojitha Trust.

Sketching his life from various vantages, the exhibition was an interesting melange of media including digital prints, collages and brush strokes. Saluting Dr. Rajkumar with their artistic tribute were V. Vallish, M.G. Doddamani, Bhavani G.S. and Rekha Hebbar Rao.

“We have tried to showcase Dr. Rajkumar not merely through his physical appearance. We have portrayed his cultural and social contributions, and his love for Kannada language, Mr. Vallish said.

“Appaji was best respected as an ordinary man who led his life with simplicity. This is a reason for his immortality,” said his son Raghavendra Rajkumar.
