Another aspirant for constable post dies
Staff Reporter
KHAMMAM: Another youth aspiring for the job of a police constable died in Khammam on Thursday.
Jaladi Kanta Rao, a B.Sc final year student of a local college who took part in the 5-kilometre run as part of the physical endurance test conducted by the Police Department collapsed after covering a distance of four-and-a-half km at 8.10 a.m. Doctors kept on standby attended to him and later rushed him to the district headquarters hospital. Hospital superintendent Dr. Papalal said that the youth died of myocardial infarction which usually results from an imbalance of oxygen supply and demand during strenuous activities such as running. He could well have experienced it at the beginning of the run but ignored the risk. He could just utter his name before falling unconscious. He breathed his last around 1.15 p.m. Kanta Rao, a native of Rebbavaram village in Wyra mandal, is the third person to die during the 5-km run.
