Man thrown into wok of boiling oil

NEW DELHI: In a bizarre incident, a young man was thrown into a wok of boiling oil at Shakurpur here on Thursday. The victim sustained 75 per cent burns and was said to be in a critical condition.

According to the police, Jittu passed some lewd remarks at his neighbour Rajo when she had gone to fetch water from a municipal tap. On returning home, Rajo narrated the incident to her brother Bharat.

A few hours later, Jittu along with his friends cornered Bharat near a “pandal” in the area and pushed him into a wok filled with boiling oil. Bharat has been admitted to Bhagwan Mahavir Hospital.
