HUBLI: Another business school was added to the growing list of such schools in the twin cities on Thursday with the inauguration of Gyanasudha Institute of Management Studies (GIMS). The inauguration of Gyana Sanskar Bharati Educational Trust coincided with the inauguration of GIMS. Inaugurating the school, Sri Raghuviranandji Maharaj, president of Ramakrishna Vivekanand Ashram, Hubli, said western efficiency and dynamism compiled with Indian spiritualism would produce quality professionals in the world. “The West has progressed utilising our knowledge whereas we are still in the developing stage as we are fond of imitating the Western culture,” the swamiji said. The swamiji said apart from ensuring opportunities to students in the job market, educational experts should focus on making students imbibe moral values. The swamiji released the GIMS Prospectus for 2007-08. Syndicate member of Karnatak University S.N. Ashtaputre and Divisional Manager of Bharati Airtel Services, Chennai, Sagayaraj, spoke. President of the trust Shankaragouda B. Lakkanagoudar, vice-president Venkanna B. Huggi, Mohan Limbikai, M.B. Nataraj, Director of Vidya Poshak, Anand Rao, Vishwnath Koravi and Sadanand Havanagi were present.
