HUBLI: Tension prevailed for a while at J.P. Nagar, Heggeri in Old Hubli after rumours about damage to the idol of Lord Hanuman by some miscreants spread in the area. Consequently, additional police forces were deployed in the area with Police Commissioner Narayan Nadamani and senior officials visiting the spot. The police clarified that the old idol had become fragile.
