KANNUR: Kannur MLA and Kerala Pradesh Congress Committee general secretary K. Sudhakaran has said the Supreme Court’s order upholding the High Court’s earlier order in a case connected with the murder attempt on Communist Party of India (Marxist) leader E.P. Jayarajan is an ‘affirmation of victory of truth.’ Mr. Sudhakaran, in his reaction to the Supreme Court order on Friday said the latest order and the earlier High Court order vindicated ‘our argument in the case against the lower court’s order which we had questioned.’ With the Supreme Court order, the lower court’s direction in the case would be evaluated as flawed, he said. Mr. Jayarajan had filed an appeal against the High Court order that stayed the Thiruvananthapuram Chief Judicial Magistrate Court’s order in a case filed by him. Mr. Jayarajan had sought that Mr. Sudhakaran and Communist Marxist Party leader M.V. Raghavan be summoned for trial. Mr. Jayarajan had alleged conspiracy involving Mr. Sudhakaran and Mr. Raghavan to murder him on a running train in Andhra Pradesh in 1995. Mr. Sudhakaran said the Supreme Court’s order corrected the earlier direction of the lower court which had proceeded the case on an affidavit filed by Mr. Jayarajan without hearing their side.
