Two die of suffocation

VIZIANAGARAM: Damodar Lakshman, 30, and Gowdu Prabhakar, 28, of Mondemkhallu in Kurupam mandal died of suffocation in a newly-built septic tank on May Day.

According to the police, the construction workers entered the tank to remove centring poles. When they did not come out of the tank Korada Krishna entered the pit to save them. After he raised alarm, he was saved by passers-by. They were taken to the PHC at G.L. Puram where doctors declared them brought dead.
