Teachers protest against DU decision

NEW DELHI: The Delhi University Teachers’ Association organised a dharna outside the venue of a meeting of the Executive Council on Friday to resist the move to grant “selective re-employment” to teachers from 65 to 70 years. “The system of selective re-employment is bound to become arbitrary and more often than not used as a tool to punish dissent. The solution lies in improving the working and service conditions of teachers,” said DUTA president Aditya Narayan Misra.
