Soda bottles hurled at BJP rally

MAYILADUTURAI: Unidentified persons hurled soda bottles at a BJP rally here on Friday. They were marching to the old bus stand for picketing as part of the nationwide agitation against price rise. The police said nobody was injured in the incident.

BJP activists, including Kovi. Sethuraman, Nagapattinam district president, were arrested for attempting to picket the bus stand. They were released in the evening. — Special Correspondent
