Muzaffarnagar: A 13-year-old Dalit girl was allegedly raped by an upper caste youth at gun point at Bamnagar area here, evoking strong protests. Police said the girl, belonging to Angar community, was criminally assaulted at a jungle. Her community members met the district magistrate today and demanded immediate action. The girl’s father lodged a complaint with the local police. However, the accused Kawarpal was still at large.
