Madras Club triumphs

CHENNAI: Madras Club defeated Presidency 3-0 to be crowned champion of the Sanmar-TNTA City-club ‘D’ Zone tennis league here.

Both clubs will be promoted to the ‘C’ Zone next season.

The results: R. Rajasekhar & Gayathri Krishnan bt Raghavaram & Senthil Kumar 6-4, 6-0; Dr. Vijay Sriram & Nanditha Krishnan bt Jaskaran Narula & Arun Suresh 7-6(5), 6-4; Anand Sasidaran & Suresh bt Shivaram Selvakumar & Shiv Batra 6-4, 6-3.
