NEW DELHI: A young businessman was injured and robbed of Rs.8.50 lakh by three men on a motorcycle at Vishwas Nagar in the Capital’s trans-Yamuna area on Friday.
According to the police, the incident took place around 9 a.m. when 25-year-old Prem Kumar came out of his house and was walking towards his vehicle. Three men on a motorcycle intercepted him and tried to snatch a bag containing Rs.8.50 lakh at knifepoint.
Prem, who runs a copper-wire business, offered resistance at which one of the robbers stabbed him in the hand and the other hit him with a firearm’s butt. The miscreants then made off with the bag.
The police have registered a case.
