Scheme to recharge open farm wells

VILLUPURAM: Collector Brajendra Navnit has said the State government has launched a scheme to recharge the open farm wells. It was also extending specific grants to the farmers for the purpose, he said.

Addressing farmers at a function held at the office of the Joint Director (Agriculture) here on Friday, Mr. Navnit said the government has announced a grant of Rs. 4,000 to small and marginal farmers and Rs. 2,000 to other farmers to recharge their wells.
