Training for fishermen

PUDUCHERRY: The personnel of the Coast Guard, who took part in a community interaction programme in Chinnaveerampattinam on Friday, stressed the importance of using life-saving equipment by the fishermen while venturing into the sea.

The programme was conducted by the Pondicherry Multipurpose Social Service Society in association with the Indian Coast Guard.

According to a release , the Coast Guard personnel also highlighted various aspects of group fishing.

The personnel explained to the fishermen how to use the life jacket and the life buoy.
