BELLARY: The BJP’s “ranga yatre” was launched here on Saturday. Ten troupes, with 10 artistes and technicians in each troupe, will cover Bellary, Davangere, Koppal, Raichur, Chitradurga and Gadag districts staging street plays and other performances highlighting the achievements of the BJP in Bellary district and in the State. Playwright Yeshwant Sardeshpande told presspersons here that tunes of popular film songs had been chosen to highlight the achievements of the BJP. Artistes from Hubli, Dharwad and Belgaum would perform till May 14. The BJP had obtained permission from the concerned authorities for the purpose, he said. — Staff Correspondent
