Floral tributes paid to freedom fighters

NEW DELHI: The Municipal Corporation of Delhi paid rich tributes to freedom fighters on completion of the 150th anniversary of India’s First War of Independence. Led by Mayor Arti Mehra, members of the civic body paid floral tributes to an earthen pot containing soil from places associated with the freedom fighters who took part in the First War of Independence. The Mayor urged the citizens to observe silence on May 10 at 6-57 p.m. as a mark of respect .
