Retired judge to probe death in prison

PUDUCHERRY: A probe by a retired judge has been ordered into the death of life convict Kamal Shah at the Central Prison here on April 21.

Official sources said on Saturday that the inquiry would be conducted by retired district judge G. Patric.

Chief Minister N. Rangasamy announced in the Assembly on April 22 that the government would order a thorough probe into the case.
