Militant hideout busted in Anantnag

Srinagar: Security forces busted a hideout and recovered a large quantity of grenades and ammunition in Anantnag district of south Kashmir on Saturday, a defence spokesman said.

Acting on a tip-off, troops of 50 Rashtriya Rifles launched a search operation in the Zizbal-Shershali area in the district and recovered one under barrel grenade launcher with three grenades, 159 rounds of AK ammunition, three AK magazines, 82 pistol rounds and three rocket projectile guns from the hideout, the spokesman said.

A Lashkar-e-Taiba militant was held in Kishtwar district and a Jaish-e-Mohammad sympathiser arrested in Jammu district. — PTI
