KORAPUT: Several tribals would become landless soon, as their lands were being forcible encroachment in Pottangi block of Koraput district. It had forced them to migrate to other places. Hundreds of acres of land belonging to the tribals is being cultivated illegally by affluent people from neighbouring State of Andhra Pradesh. These encroached lands lay in the regions near the boarder in Pottangi block of Koraput district and in the naxal- infested Jamguda region of the block, alleged Sukra Khora, the former chairman of Pottangi block. The police and the revenue officials in the block, however, were reluctant to act even after receiving regular complains from people for the fear of naxalites, he added.
