Poll panel to review preparations

Bangalore: Chief Election Commissioner N. Gopalaswami and the two Election Commissioners will again visit Bangalore on Wednesday and Thursday and review the preparations for the second phase of elections on May 16 in 10 districts. They will also visit Bellary and Mangalore to monitor the poll preparations there.

The commission has added two more documents to the list of alternative documents for voters who have not been issued electors’ photo identity cards. They are senior citizen card and any document or card issued by authorities of local bodies. — Special Correspondent
